WHEELING SEASON IS HERE!

68 TOYOTA FJ40

Once again we are continuing on with this veteran FJ. We are headed to mount the new 33" tires onto some 8" wide white wagon spoke wheels. Next up we are installing a Howell fuel injection system to give new life to this FJ.

We have a pair of custom seats to install to give more support and comfort than the stock seats.
THE INDIAN!

We have been getting a lot done with this jeep. We have the front and rear bumpers painted up and ready to go.

got the front brakes installed and plumbed up, and the rear plumbed up as well.

Here is the custom skid plate being fabbed-up and waiting for the install. The driveshafts have been installed and are awaiting orders from the Chevy LT1.

Now here is a simple mod we need to talk about. You can find all kinds of brands of CO2 tanks out there but why would you want one? Well for example, if you are running 33 X 12.5 X 15 tires and are running a 30 psi on the street, and want to air down to 10 psi for the trail what do you do? Here is the answer, this 10lb tank will air up those tires from 10 to 30 psi with ease, a total of 20 tires! Now you won't need to do that in a day but it will also run air tools to change a tire as well. OK so here is the question that you are thinking now, how much?

This kit comes with a 10lb aluminum tank, quick release mounting bracket, 150 psi regulator, 25' self coiling hose, and an air chuck all for $ 219.99. I also need to add that I can fill that tank for $2.50 per lb.

2007 FC-5 (OR CUSTOM 66 CJ-5)

We have some trick leaf springs including Teraflex revolver shackles and Rancho 15" shocks up front. Saginaw steering box on a Performance Unlimited custom frame.

Custom Performance skid plates, that's right!

Our own Rock Lights mounted inside the front fender wells to pierce the night and make the boogie man go away (I heard he wheels a Yugo with 40" Swampers).

Check out the 350 V8 paired up with a SM465 tranny and a Dana 300 transfer case with a 4 to 1 ratio! Front and rear axles are lucky Dana 44's with OX lockers in both. The OX is normally a cable operated locker, but can convert them to air activation for the ultimate setup! Custom linkage for the clutch and brakes round out the package.

We mounted up a fiberglass body to the frame and topped it off with a Performance custom roll cage. To make cleaning more convenient, we made the seats removable, and for camping comfort by the fire too!

Here is a good shot of the rear which just spells business. A nice beefy tire carrier supported by a stout bumper with 2 recovery points. So......... we have this custom jeep here for an oil change followed by a rebuild of the Holley carb and tune.

Another goodie to be installed will be this fuel cell in the rear to make more crawling room underneath.

DIY TIRE CARRIER "T" CLAMP

Have you ever been on the trail to have your clamp give out while in a precarious situation, and hear that un godly "Bang"? Do you have a "T" handle clamp already but once you have opened it, the "T" decided to go somewhere else besides where you wanted it to? Well here is the solution.

This unit is for the guy who wants to build his own carrier or replace the latch on his current unit. Just weld the sleeve in place, fashion a receiver nut for it to screw into and you’re done. This clamp is a solid built piece to withstand the toughest conditions on the trail. As you might have noticed, the "T" will not remove from the mounting point. Never lose that piece again! Very Cool!

MYSTERY SWITCH

We are waiting for this goodie to arrive to the shop soon. Do you have a switch to turn off your fan before running a water crossing? Have you ever forgot to turn it back on ( and overheat your engine to prime rib cooking temps)? Here is the solution. It's a simple push button to turn off your fan, as well as turn it on. The big difference here is, if you forgot to turn it on, we have a timed delay (custom timed by us for any application), and it will turn on by itself! We can also set the switch to act as a "battery saver" too. Run your CB and talk to your buddies after you have shut off the jeep, and it will turn off by itself after a set time limit to save your battery (and your trip).

EVENTS!

Just a quick note here, we will be at the "allthingsjeep.com" event in Jaffrey, NH. Click the link below for more information and directions.
